Our Featured Employee - Shawn Crichlow

Shawn is relatively a baby in the Treasure Beach team when compared to many employees who have been at TBH from its inception in 1977.  He joined Treasure Beach Hotel on October 26^th, 2002 as a Houseman, a position he still holds today.  Prior to Treasure Beach, Shawn’s only work experience was in the construction industry.

As a member of the Housekeeping team, Shawn’s duties include absolute support to the Housekeeping staff.  Whether he is dispensing cleaning materials, adding extra features to the guest room for guest comfort, taking on the heavier in-room jobs, Shawn takes his job responsibilities very seriously and can be relied upon to carry out his duties with great gusto.   He has a wonderful, positive attitude and a willingness to assist in any area in the hotel to ensure guest satisfaction.  He is so reliable that he is often dubbed “Mr. Dependable” by his peers.

Shawn said he loves his job and although he seldom has direct interaction with the guests he derives much pleasure from guest comments indicating the stay at TBH was a positive experience.  He also deems Treasure Beach the best place to work because of the friendliness of the staff. 

Shawn’s other passion is for anything computer-related and through the years he has developed a technical knack for fixing cell phones and computers – an invaluable service to our guests.  He sees himself being further involved in the hospitality industry and will continue to improve his technical knowledge with the view of being employed as a Network Administrator.  In the meantime, however, he is focused on providing the back- up support his Department needs to ensure the standards at TBH are maintained.

 Approximately one month ago my rather ancient laptop picked up a virus that apparently rendered it 'useless and gone for good'; or so I was advised by the local computer store.  I handed it over to Shawn and within a couple of days he returned it working - still slow, but it would take more than a miracle to rectify that!
