Our Featured Employee - Kirk Ruck
One of the highlights of any vacation is the cuisine and Treasure Beach has numerous accolades attesting to the talents of our kitchen brigade.
One of the younger members of our staff has recently stepped into the world of competitive cuisine, when he entered the Barbados National Chef’s competition. Kirk Ruck went up against some of the finest chefs on the island. Despite this being the first time that he had entered such a competition he managed to beat over half the competitors assuring his place amongst Barbados’ finest chefs.
Kirk’s passion for food started in his Grandmother’s kitchen where he was surrounded by the smells and tastes of good Bajan cooking. Kirk’s determination to pursue a career in Food & Beverage has gained him positions in some of the finest restaurants in Barbados and eventually brought him to Treasure Beach. Kirk has been a part of the team for close to a decade. His imaginative styles are on full display every Tuesday night when he assumes full responsibility for the weekly Barbeque that satisfies even the most discerning palettes.
Kirk Ruck is a lover of good food. He prepares his dishes in a European style with a hint of his grandmother’s Bajan flavours.
